A new-ish restaurant on East Lake. Everything I have tried there has been delicious! The atmosphere is really nice - open-air indoor seating as well as deck and sandy-beach seating. It has a Caribbean feeling without being too themey. The service is a bit slow (I think they give their waiters too-large sections) but they are friendly and accomodating. Just don't go if you're in a hurry, and the food and drinks will make it worth your while. Of particular note are the mac and cheese and the fruity frozen drinks.

The restaurant is next to the lake with a beautiful view. The prices are outrageous! They charge you for water, we would have been fine with tap water, but they wouldn't do it. It costs $2 to add lettuce, tomato and onion to your burger. The food was delicous and the atmosphere was really fun. Our server was new, and seemed a little overwhelmed, but she was really sweet.

Wednesday at 5pm, we were prepared to catch an early dinner with the kids and avoid the evening rush. We were right about both of those, however the service was absent as well. We waited 20 minutes just to get a drink order and we were 1 of 4 tables seated in the entire restaurant. If Yelp allowed for video I would have uploaded the numerous servers that were simply walking around, as if to look just busy enough to not get in trouble by the manager. "Busy doing nothing" Once we were finally served the waitress was on it, she was swift and efficient with the order and table service. This is a highly touted establishment, was well staffed, at a slow time, and we were still neglected for an uncomfortable amount of time = 2 POSITIVES: The view is great and it is easily accessible. The food was good, my fish tacos were great in fact, and the guac was good and fresh. Tips for parents: avoid the nachos for kids. Literally is a cup of cheese and chips. The fruit cup is great.

Yeah, it's expensive and you have to pay for water... But the food is great and the atmosphere is the best on the lake. Good times. If you come to Okoboji, you need to eat here at least once. The jambalaya is legit. They have West O on tap... Of course. Every time I come here there's another bachelorette party.

I have been visiting this restaurant/bar a few times each summer season when vacationing at the lake. Everytime i visit, the service gets a bit worse. This time (July 10 - 12 2015) the service was terrible at the main bar. The bartender was more interested in flirting with the women patrons and left the men/and couples sitting there at the bar with empty glasses and/or bottles. I continually notice the crowd decreasing as well as getting a table there now is never difficult, a clear sign of where things are heading. The establishment needs to begin with new management who checks in tables and ensures that the "seasonal help" is actually working. The food is still great, but the lack of service will have me looking at other establishments to now visit instead. Note: free wifi also now taken away in 2015.

Love the flatbread! Came out at just the right amount of crispy gooey goodness. Beautiful views of sunset and East Lake. Best Pina colada On the lake.

They only have bottled water which they stamped their logo on and say they don't have tap water. What? The 4 cheese flatbread was awful. It was like eating a spoon full of Parmesan. The drinks were awfully mixed and last year they charged us for extra ice. Food: average, service: good, pricing: terrible, overall experience: pretty crappy.

Waited ten minutes for a server to simply take our drink order. No one appeared. We left. Terrible service! Amazing that the hotel is always so packed but the restaurant attached is a ghost town. Wonder why...

I didn't realize when we drove from the west lake to the east lake that we had passed into Mexico and only bottled water was available. This place will nickel and dime you into bankruptcy. We ordered the onion ring appetizers for 12 dollars. We got 11 onion rings. I told the waitress it wasn't her fault but that I was appalled. To get onion, lettuce and tomato on your burger it is $2 more. To substitute a side salad or sweet potato fries for your regular fries it is $3 more. The drink prices are not listed on the menu. Be prepared. I did enjoy my fish tacos and the rest of my group liked their food but at these prices, we had better. I can get awesome fish tacos in Des Moines for half the price. The rice is good. Also, if you go before sunset, make sure you get a table where the umbrella folds or you will melt. I recommend going after 8 pm with a thick wallet. We had a sizeable group of 10. They will not take reservations for groups under 15. And they could be a bit more friendly when telling you this. The greeter was not friendly. We did have a good waitress who worked hard.

Warning drinks and food are over priced. We eat here a lot and we love it. Their Hawaiian burger is my husbands favorite. I like their sweat and sour chicken with jasmine rice. Last time we were here though we were with a group of 6. Service was absolutely horrible. We ordered the chicken bbq flat bread pizza and nachos as an appetizer which were amazing but they came cold and about 1 minute after our entrées were served. My friends fish and chips were really good. My other friend ordered a steak but sent it back and wouldn't eat it she said it was pretty bad. They are busy every time we've gone but service was beyond subpar that night. Also A table of 6 as well was seated about 15 minutes after us and got their food 15 minutes before us.

I wish I could like this place. It is a fun concept, but that's where it stops. The entrees have shrunk while prices have went up, both very noticeably. Service has always been subpar at best, the staff is generally friendly when you interact with them, but good luck getting their attention. Drink service is generally slow enough that you could go behind the bar unnoticed and make your own drink. Food service is just about as quick. This place is little more than an overpriced tourist trap complete with their own merchandise shop.

Nice view from the patio, especially at sunset. Food was decent, though a bit pricey. We had a large group and they accommodated us pretty well. Blender was broken so no blended margaritas tonight. Only odd thing was their refusal to bring ice water. Only bottled water available.

Currently staying at the Bridges Bay resort in Okoboji for the weekend which is in very close proximity to Bracco. The visuals of the restaurant are awesome - eating right on Lake Okoboji while the sun is setting... it doesn't get much better. But the food was not good. I ordered the Cubana which was $13 and more closely resembled a Hot Pocket. Super thin with very minimal ham and pork tenderloin. And there must be a french fry shortage in northwest Iowa because there were not many to be had in my basket. Really, the $13 should be considered to pay for the view/experience more so than the food. If you are new to 'Boji I would encourage you to maybe find a different restaurant to experience the area.

Incredibly disappointing are words that come to mind. Avoid the nachos unless you like canned nacho cheese. For $15 you would think they would have real cheese. Add $2 and you might get olives lettuce and jalapeños. $15 for a plain Jane burger and a handful of fries. You have to spend 3 bucks more to add tomato, lettuce and an onion slice. Out of the 6 dishes we ordered, only one (creole andouille chicken) was decent tasting despite the ridiculous prices. McDonald's would have had better food. Average menu price of $18-$30 and the beverages come in clear plastic cups. Wish we would have gone somewhere else.

What kind of restaurant practices charging customers for bottled water when they didn't ask for bottled water? If I want a glass of ice water, I expect it to be complimentary. I have been to fancy schmancy Ruth Chris Steakhouse and they give complementary water when you sit down. Why not you Bracco? It's crap like this, on top of your mediocre food that you charge an arm and a leg for, that make people never want to come back. I'll be happy to report that I will never step foot in this establishment again.

Zero stars. The service is awful and the food is below par. While the atmosphere is decent, your mood will be ruined when you wait 20 minutes to get a beer. If you order water, they only offer bottled water for sale. You have to get a cup of ice and go fill it up in the bathroom sink. The real kicker is the same restraint in Sioux Falls has complimentary water. If you are in the mood for a burger, get ready for another up charge! $1.50 for lettuce, onion, and tomato. This is a first for me! But again, if you go to the sister restaurant in Sioux Falls, it's included in the price. You will have better service and food at McDonalds. I promise. Screw this place go to the Taco House

No question, an enjoyable environment. Food is mediocre and expensive. I was a bit put off that they only had bottled water available for $1.75. No tap water available. Not sure that's even legal? Our bill for the 3 of us which included 2 beers, a diet coke, an order of cheese balls, one flat bread and two salads with a chicken breast on each and tip was $87. Probably won't rush back.

I want to give 4 stars based on past summers (we always come out Labor day week) but something went very awry here since 2012. In previous visits the food was an absolute highlight - much better than any other lake-front restaurant in my opinion. And the drinks were stiff and good. Well, the drinks are the same. But the food has dropped into mediocre territory. The nachos we ordered were still good - but not the piled-high-gooey-sticky delight of summers past. And the burgers we got were unimpressive in the extreme; a Big Mac is way better. For $13 you expect a fat juicy perfectly cooked masterpiece with top notch fixin's. Instead what came out was thin, not juicy, grey, with pedestrian fixings. As if they were floating in water and got warmed up for us -- but not even that moist. Edible, not memorable. If we hadn't gotten the 50% off price to $6.50 I would've had to send them back. I love Bracco. I love the location. I love the view and the multi-level setup. I bought and wear the Bracco T-shirt. So Dear Bracco: don't rely on the above to justify dropping quality. Please get back your food mojo, or I'll only be able to order drinks anymore.

Great food and great times with relaxed setting. Have to come back for the fire pits on the beach!!

This place used to be one of my favorites...but no longer. The service was terrible. I had to get up 3 times to get our own kids menus, ketchup, utensils... The food was what I would expect from McDonalds, not a place that charges $13 for a cheeseburger that tastes like soy burgers (You'd think you could get better beef in Iowa!) The drinks were fine but they needed to get the menu to tell my if they had a local brew. When I got the menu, it said they had a Bracco brew???!!!! Oh, and the charging for water. Stupid! They told us it was because of the water quality at the lake. The water at our cabin on the same lake is just fine. Fix your tap if you're having problems! Won't be back there this summer!!!

Very good atmosphere. Food was very hit or miss. The blue cheese burger was one of the worst I've had at any prices - it was $13. It looked good- was moist- no flavor. Shrimp tacos were much better at $17. Cheese flat bread was ok- again very basic with little flavor. The service was decent and seemed to feel bad having no water- you have to buy bottled for $1.75. That is a poor business practice in my opinion. I'd recommend the dry dock or the warf if you want lake views.

This has become my new favorite lakeside place! With repeatedly bad service at Barefoot Bar - needed a new daytime drinking spot. On the plus - this place has WAY better food than Barefoot as well. The beach bar is a great addition! They have live music daily, and you can sit overlooking the water with your toes in the sand. Try the Miami Vice! Best ever!!! Hubby enjoyed the Route 66 burger, and they also have great flatbreads!
